The 50th MINT 400
2018 MINT 400
Once again the CVM Motorsports crew headed south for the Nevada Desert to race the 50th Annual MINT 400 in there Yamaha YXZ1000r. Being a shorter race it was time to drive our car harder and faster to see if we could keep up to the big dogs. Starting the race in 43rd place out of 50 UTV’s in our class we had some serious driving to do. Dean and Scott had a great first Lap by RM85 they were running in the top 20 UTV’s but unfortunately our rear A-Arm Sheared Off. Dean and Scott hopped out of the car to access the damage and then limped it 20 miles into the main pit where John, Trevor, and Mark were waiting with the parts and tools required to fix our car and get back out on the race course. We knew now that we were not able to run the 3rd lap as we were not going to make the cut off. But we had the car fixed in 45 minutes and Mark and Trevor ran the 2nd Lap flawlessly and had a blast! Overall we finished the race 29th out of 50 UTV’s.
